DPD confirmed it had already recruited four former City Link staff who lost their jobs when the company went into administration on Christmas Eve, and expects to take onat least another two.
Mr Johnson was given a two hour long tour of the depot by General Manager DanHadley which included meeting drivers, management and operations staff. The MP was also given a demonstration of DPD’s unique Predict technology which notifies customers in advance of their one-hour delivery window so that they don’t have to wait in all day for a parcel.
