GeoPost posts results: sustained growth with €5.7 billion in revenue and over 1 billion parcels delivered in 2015
As the Parcels-Express business unit of Le Groupe La Poste which posted revenue of €23,045 billion in 2015, GeoPost continues to grow and posts €5.675 billion in revenue, equating to a 15.3% increase (+9.1% at constant scope and exchange rates). All countries play a part in this momentum, particularly the UK (+17%), Benelux (+14%), Spain (+9.5%), Poland (+9.1%) and Germany (+8%). Such performance was driven by rising volumes (+16.4%) compared to 2014, bringing the total number of parcels delivered worldwide to 1 billion.
Several external growth operations also contributed to the overall growth of the company:
- The acquisition of Systemlogistik in March 2015 enabled GeoPost to increase its stake in DPD GmbH to 93%.
- Through Tigers, GeoPost also acquired the Australian freight forwarding operator WorldLink and the British operator Signet UK.
